Texas Frightmare Weekend May 1-3

Underfiend Radio plans to make an appearance (however small or large) at Texas Frightmare Weekend. I'll be there with my recorder to interview anyone I happen across, it could be anyone from Alice Cooper to Linda Blair!

Any listeners interested in joining us there are welcome to contact me through our forums to make arrangements. I'm opening my roomy home and extra space for folks to crash so you don't have to spring for a hotel room. Just get in touch with me and we'll work it out! (no dog/cat allergic people please!)

If you want more information about the festivities and tickets, visit http://www.texasfrightmareweekend.com/lifetype/

In other news, I plan on sitting down with our boys from Ghoultown soon and talking about their upcoming plans and their recent video with the beloved Elvira (check their website/myspace for cool pictures of the video shoot!).

RIP Andy and Lux

Two great losses for our corner of the music world.

In January we lost both Andy DeMize (Andy Martinez), the drummer from the Nekromantix, and Lux Interior of the Cramps.

Andy died in a car accident and Lux passed away of an existing heart condition.

RIP, and condolences go out to both families.

CP for September 2008 - up for download

The Command Prompt punk-cast for September 2008 - "Sunder's Virtualized Mom" - is up for download. Recorded live last night, we talked about virtualization, had a call in from Sunder's mom, covered the massive nVidia GPU issues and Hurricane Ike eating my laptop. Check out the show notes and links.

We also have a new RSS feed for CP so you can subscribe to updates.

We'll be recording the next Command Prompt live on Saturday, October 25th. Submit your questions now.

Next Command Prompt: 8/30 @ 8pm CST

We'll be recording the next live broadcast of Command Prompt this Saturday, August 30th at 8pm Central time.

As usual, we have a few guest hosts and some killer topics. We'll be taking listener calls on our Ventrilo server, so get Ventrilo and join our chat room during the show to learn how to call-in.

Thunderstorms and tornados

Severe thunderstorms last night killed the connection to our regular playlist server, and we're at the mercy of the cable company for when it will be fixed. Sorry kids, no punk rock until we have the interwebs working again. We've been promised a fix by tomorrow at 5pm Central time.
